However, you have learned the importance of documenting splits. How do you ensure that you get your split sheet signed? How can you approach this somewhat awkward subject?

You have been offered a traditional publishing deal with a major publisher! Yey! They're offering you an advance of 50,000 USD! Sounds great, but what is their added value? What should you be wary of/aware of?
